I woke up to find out that Shamrock the Block just postponed their date to coincide with Saturday of the St. Patrick's Church Festival. This will seriously cut into attendance at the Church Festival and will hurt them financially. The Festival is by far their largest fundraiser. With having Covid interfering with the festival the last 2 years, this will have a terrible financial impact on the church.

From our standpoint, splitting the attendance between the 2 events will likely slow raffle ticket sales. So there are two things I would like membership to do:

1) Consider spending part of Saturday at Shamrock the Block selling raffle tickets. I will look into getting a booth.
|
2) Consider posting on the Facebook site for Shamrock the Block commenting on how the church requires their festival as a fundraiser, that they have had it the same weekend for decades, and that Shamrock the Block could have picked any other weekend of the year. We shouldn't be vitriolic, but more disappointed they would do something on the only weekend that would hurt a church that is struggling financially.
