Due to the disruption in our lives and schedules caused by the COVID-19 virus including the postponement of the Church Hill Irish Festival, the drawing for the Dooley Division “Trip for Two to Ireland” has been postponed to a date yet to be determined pending rescheduling of the Irish Festival or planning of an alternative site or event. At the moment, none of those options can be determined or ruled out so at this early stage of “Social Distancing” we have to wait and see what our best options are for holding the drawing. I ask that each of us update anyone you know who bought a ticket to that effect or refer them to the the Dooley Division website for the latest plans regarding the drawing http://aohrichmond.org/2020/03/irish-festival-raffle-winner-drawing-postponed/

For Brothers who have not yet paid their dues or turned in tickets in lieu of dues payment, and particularly those who do so annually at the Irish Festival, please reach out to Financial Secretary John Costello (owenson357@comcast.net) or Raffle Chair Jim Woods (Jwoods0701@gmail.com) to make plans for turning in your tickets or otherwise making a dues payment. The Irish Festival has always been a great time and place to do that but with these unprecedented circumstances and no certainty at this stage as to when or if the Festival will be rescheduled I ask that you make an effort to get your tickets turned in through other arrangements.

Our next Business meeting on April 14th has been cancelled as all events at St. Michael’s Parish are cancelled and facilities closed beyond that date. We may very tentatively look to hold a drawing in some public venue should the Festival be cancelled on or near that date but as discussed above, that remains to be determined .
Finally, pray for the health, safety and well-being of all Hibernians, our immediate and distant families, all those around the world affected by the virus, particularly those who have lost their lives. Pray that a solution to preventing further spread of this virus is reached swiftly.
