ST. ELIZABETH'S VIRTUAL JAZZ FESTIVAL - SAT AUG 29th 4p-6p

Our Dooley brother Fr. Jim Arsenault is putting out the word not for Beer Pourers this year, but to bring attention of his parish's first "virtual" jazz festival. Due to the pandemic, this year's St. Elizabeth Jazz Festival will be held online. The virtual music event will include performances from several bands and highlights of the parish's ministries. This annual event, which is St. Elizabeth Parish's only major fundraiser, helps with the parish's ongoing maintenance and financial needs. Thank you for supporting St. Elizabeth Parish!

OUR "SEMINARIAN"

FR. ANTHONY FERGUSON

Fr. Anthony Ferguson, a seminarian the Dooley Division had awarded our Vocations assistance (with proceeds of our 50/50 raffle), will be the parochial vicar of St. Andrew's in Roanoke with his assignment starting tomorrow. Fr. Anthony's home parish is St. Mary's and was ordained last summer by Bishop Knestout. In a homily, (shared on his blog, Casting Out Fear), Fr. Ferguson shared the story of saying Mass, socially distanced, for his ailing grandmother on her 98th birthday last month. Another of the many stories of separation and inconvenience during these times, however with some inspiring words about what we cannot be separated from. His grandmother Elvira Mercalde passed away shortly after his visit. Please pray for the repose of her soul and keep the family in your prayers
