from Dooley Division President Mike Canning

Brothers,

Good morning Brothers,I hope the Independence Day holiday was enjoyable and relaxing for all. Not so relaxing is the risk of email scams requesting money Such as the one below (link) that was received by several Dooley Div. brothers this morning.
It looks like I wrote the email and sent it out to the Division. If you received this email, please do not respond and do delete it.

This email is very cleverly crafted to look authentic. Please keep in my mind “real” Division emails will come on letterhead with the AOH logo. Further, I will never request “donations” or contributions without some prior discussion at a meeting (virtual Or live). The only possible exception might be a local charity that we have supported in the past such as St. Elizabeth’s or something similar but in any event where we know the source requesting is valid. Despite the “look” of the email below it is not genuine and should be deleted.

If you ever receive an email, text or Other request for money supposedly from me, any of our officers, the Dooley Division or AOH which you are uncertain about please reach out to me, any of the officers or Committee chairs or Tim or Pat before responding and definitely before committing any money. The most obvious tip-off, if a communication does not come from Tim or Pat, it is fake as they handle all our internal and external communications across the Division.
