Supreme Court Overturns Roe v. Wade

The Supreme Court today overturned Roe vs. Wade. The ruling gives individual states the power to set their own abortion laws. Roe vs. Wade had permitted abortion in the first two trimesters for almost 50 years. Almost half the states are expected to outlaw or severely restrict abortion as a result of the Supreme Court’s decision. This is a historical day for this country. I am proud to be associated with a group that fights for the right to life. While this is a day to celebrate, we must realize that this is not the end of the fight. I urge all our members to continue to pray to end abortion, participate in local and national marches, support our local crisis pregnancy center and learn about our political candidates.

In Friendship, Unity, and Christian Charity,

Mike Smith
