The National March For Life is being held on January 19th in DC. If you haven’t attended this event in the past, I’d highly recommend it. The speakers at the rally are great. This years March route has been modified so it will finish by the Capital and the Supreme Court. The Knights of Columbus have kindly offered transportation from three pickup spots. The seats will fill up quickly. Please see the message from Doug Lynch below.
In Friendship, Unity, and Christian Charity,
Note: Slight changes to earlier email to mark the DEPARTURE TIMES and the exact location of the St. Bridget pickup. I expect no further changes.
Our Council, with the gracious help of Father Ken, along with two groups, has arranged while seats last, free bus transportation to and from the National Right to Life March on the morning/ afternoon of January 19th, 2024. Special thanks to Life Director Mike Kozak who has been going above and beyond to make this bus happen.
The bus will make three stops on that Friday, first at St. Edward’s, followed by St. Bridget’s. Pickup and parking is the access road/parking lot, just off Three Chopt, between the Church and Middle School. From there the bus will go to the Columbian Center (at 2324 Pump Road).
|Departure Time (sharp!)
|St. Edward’s Epiphany
|St. Bridget’s Access Road/Parking Lot between Church and Middle School
Given the two other groups involved, we expect seats to not last so please encourage immediate action if they want transportation.
Riders can also take the same bus back to one of the three stops, after the March has concluded.
For the best and fastest way to reserve a seat (or seats), we ask that members of the council, and/or other interested parishioner, visit this signup site:
There is a space on the online form to select the preferred pickup location if you prefer to hop on and off at one of the three spots.
I’ve requested Mrs. Ryan Burgess to get the word out to our parish in the daily blasts, as we have a limited window to reserve seats. I ask you to consider coming to the March, and mention this bus opportunity to those who prefer not to drive. Once seats are gone, they are gone.
Alternatively, anyone from St. Bridget’s may call or text me at 609-977-8953, and I can reserve a seat in their name, while they are still available.
Lastly, we still need marshals, so if you want to ride with me (and join me at the front of the march), please let me know!
