ANOTHER WONDERFUL ST. PATRICK'S DAY

Seasonal fun had by many of our members at the LAOH Irish Gala, St. Mary's Irish Night and many more these past several weeks. It was topped off by a great "early" Irish Fest at Church Hill. Traffic, competing events and the calendar moving up a week from the traditional end of March date didn't tame the revelers. And we can all agree that the weather was on our side. Thanks to the Dooley Division's own Deacon Peter McCourt and Fr. Brian Capuano for presiding over the special early AOH Mass Sunday morning, and for Mark Collins for helping with the arrangements. Thanks to Vince Eikmeier for once again leading us in song at Mass and on the parade route. Thanks to VP Mike Valacer for getting the grub for our breakfast in the St. Pat's basement. Thanks to all who manned the festival gates and the Dooley Division booth. Thanks to John Condon and all the rest our brothers who made sure everyone within earshot had a chance for a Trip For Two To Ireland. Prior to the drawing of the winning raffle ticket on the festival bandstand, the Division awarded a Hibernian Lifetime Achievement Award to "Mr. Church Hill Irish Fest", Dooley Division member Stokes McCune. And of course, congratulations to the raffle winner, Jane Wiegand. Let's do it again next year!

which reminds me, thanks to Big Dan for passing out those lyric sheets to A Soldier's Song...our group sounded better than I ever remember....even did more than "hum" throught the Irish lyrics : )

The recipients to be determined by our Division Chaplain Fr. Jim Arsenault/St. Elizabeth's Parish Finance Committee.
